Kenya
Bright, juicy and intense. Blackcurrant and grapefruit acidity that nothing else quite matches.
Kenyan coffee is sold through a central auction and graded by bean size, which is why you see AA and AB on the bag. The SL28 and SL34 varieties, volcanic soil around Mount Kenya and meticulous washing give a cup that is almost savoury in its intensity. Brew it as filter, a little coarser than you would an Ethiopian, and let it cool before you judge it.
