Quietly excellent. Sweet, nutty, clean washed coffees that punch above their price, and some of the best value in Central America.
Honduras is the biggest producer in Central America and for years sold most of it as commodity. That has changed: Santa Bárbara and Marcala now produce competition-grade lots, and Pacas and Parainema varieties give a sweet, approachable cup. A good Honduran is the coffee you reorder without thinking about it.
